Raiymbek Batyr metro station — Almaty
Raiymbek Batyr is a shallow station in the Medeu district, located near the intersection of Nazarbayev Avenue and Raiymbek Batyr Avenue. It is the terminus at the northern end of the line and one of the city’s main transport hubs.
Entrances and exits to the underground concourse are set at every corner of the Nazarbayev–Raiymbek Batyr intersection, with two more exits along Nazarbayev Avenue north of Raiymbek Batyr Avenue, so you can reach the right side of the street without crossing the roadway.
The station design combines the ancient and the modern: the walls are decorated with national ornaments and motifs from rock carvings. The 104-metre platform serves the single line of the Almaty metro.
